Our first full day! (Wednesday)
One last look of the first bonfire! Good morning! What another successful and FULL day! We started our day finding a beautiful quiet spot along Lake Dunmore for some journaling. Breakfast was a hit with pancakes, learning the resources we use to get our food, weather announcements done by our very own, Violet S, and charting our food waste at each meal. This is a challenge for our students because we are wasting a lot of food. We had cabin inspections with most of us getting 8s. This is on a scale of 10; some improvements needed! The morning investigations took the team on long hikes, on a mystery hike to learn about the land around the lake, displayed our Abenaki skills, and to learn all about birds. The highlight of the day was rec time where students went fishing, played basketball, soccer, designed their name tags, and just had some fun with friends!
